Administrative Assistant – Compliance and Tagging

Join our team in serving over 170 seed dealers and their customers from Virginia to Maine. This position will work in conjunction with our office & warehouse teams and independently on various tasks and projects. King’s AgriSeeds, Inc is a forage seed company that is focused on high quality forages and cover crops.

Responsibilities:

Analysis Tag and Seed-Law Compliance

  • Ensuring compliant seed analysis tags on all products by reviewing supplier tags and generating single variety, blend and mixture tags.
  • Maintain records including receiving, mixing, seed germination and purity reports.
  • Assist Warehouse Manager in identifying seed lots for germination testing.
  • Other tagging and compliance work.

Maintain accurate inventory records

  • Convert components into mixtures in accounting system.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, make adjustments as necessary.

Ensure Certified Organic Compliance

  • Understand Organic standards, communicate requirements to purchasing team, warehouse team, dealer network etc.
  • Maintain Organic Certificates, import documents, non-gmo statements etc
  • Maintain up-to-date seed licenses and reporting for states that King’s sells into

Customer Service

  • Serve customers in placing orders etc during busy times via phone and email.
  • Participate in weekly staff calls and other meetings as requested.
  • Other duties for the support of King’s AgriSeeds and its dealer network.

Wages and Workload:

Hourly wage based on experience and skills. Christian holidays and most major holidays are observed. Vacation and sick days are flexible; however, extended periods of time off during peak work load will be highly discouraged.

Qualifications:

Applicant must be detail oriented and enjoys working with a team.

Basic accounting software and spreadsheet skills.

A basic understanding of agriculture is helpful but not required.
