Vanderloop Equipment is hiring an experienced Agricultural Equipment Service Technician for our Beaver Dam, Wisconsin location.

What You’ll Do

As an Agricultural Equipment Service Technician, you will:

  • Diagnose, repair, set up, and maintain tractors, forage equipment, and other agricultural equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment issues
  • Perform service work in the shop and occasionally in the field
  • Use diagnostic software, service information, and specialized tools to identify and correct equipment problems
  • Complete equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Test repaired equipment to confirm safe and proper operation
  • Clearly document diagnoses, repairs, parts used, and work completed
  • Complete repairs accurately and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality standards
  • Communicate repair findings and service needs to the service team
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Work independently and collaborate with other team members when needed
  • Participate in manufacturer training and continuing technical education
  • Participate in seasonal overtime and an on-call rotation as needed

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least three years of experience as a service technician, diesel mechanic, heavy equipment technician, agricultural mechanic, or in a comparable repair role
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, or electronic controls
  • The ability to read service manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical instructions
  • A dependable, reliable, and detail-oriented approach to work
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • The ability to complete work independently and contribute to a team
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • A commitment to safe, high-quality repairs
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • The physical ability to perform hands-on equipment repair work, including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and working around large machinery
  • Their own general mechanic’s tools

Vanderloop Equipment provides the product-specific and specialized tools needed for the position.

Experience with Fendt, CLAAS, Massey Ferguson, AGCO, Manitou, precision agriculture technology, or other modern farm equipment is valuable but not required. Relevant technical education, manufacturer training, or equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.

  • $35 per hour plus efficiency bonuses, with total earning potential up to $50 per hour
