Description
The School District of Flambeau is accepting applications for the position of Agriculture Teacher. The ideal candidate for this full time position will have the ability to individualize learning for students using 21st Century instructional learning skills, as they infuse technology and best practices into their instruction. Other duties will include advising our local FFA chapter and communicating and collaborating effectively with administration, faculty, staff, students, and parents. Additional options may include coaching.
As an Agriculture Teacher, the successful candidate will be an innovative, relationship-building, student-oriented teacher with the ability to teach courses in Welding, Animal Science, Plant Science, Food Science, Welding, and Wildlife. There is also the opportunity to create new classes based on the candidate's strengths and interests. The Agriculture Teacher will also teach 7th and 8th grade agriculture as a middle school rotational class. There is a fully functional greenhouse with opportunities for sales and student managers. The selected candidate will also lead the Flambeau FFA chapter. A responsibility for coordinating our school-to-career program is also part of this position.
