We will help provide hands-on education letting you experience real world scenarios as you learn. We offer a 12-week paid internship to qualified and motivated individuals who will be responsible for learning our agronomy business and understanding management and operation viewpoints while working on special projects. You Will
- Comply with all AgState safety policies by working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct trials in the areas of agronomy, precision farming corn and soybeans.
- Assist agronomy team in scouting fields and customer service calls.
- Analyze insect crop protection methods, fertilizer applications, insect management, etc.
- Learn retail agronomy business, management viewpoints, and attend sales meetings.
- Assist coordination of seed plots for grower plot days.
- Work with Agronomy Regional Business Leader on special projects.
- Responsible for an overall assigned sales/research project in conjunction with all corporate research initiatives including but not limited to taking pictures, sampling, and gathering data.
- Present findings to AgState agronomy sales group at completion of project.
- Attend meetings (sales meetings, training events, marketing meetings, and leadership meetings)
- Assigned an agronomy project and present results at the end of your internship.
- Other duties as assigned.
You Must
- You must be pursuing an associate degree or bachelor's degree in an Ag related field with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or above.
- Have a passion for agriculture!
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. from the floor to minimum height of 36".
- Work overtime as required.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
