Kaup Seed & Fertilizer is hiring an Agronomy Sales Representative to join our team in Fremont, NE (about 35 miles northwest of Omaha). In this role you build strong customer relationships, grow new business, and provide growers with trusted agronomic solutions. This position will manage a small established customer base while actively developing new accounts throughout the territory.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing agriculture and agronomy customers.
- Prospect and develop new accounts to expand the customer base and grow territory sales.
- Recommend and sell fertilizer, chemicals, corn and soybean seed, moisture probes, precision application options, and other agronomy products.
- Provide customers with agronomic recommendations based on their crop production needs.
- Conduct regular sales calls with current and prospective customers.
- Educate customers on product availability, pricing, new products, application options, and industry trends.
- Schedule aerial and helicopter applications as needed.
- Assist with the sale, installation, and maintenance of moisture probes.
- Prepare sales contracts, maintain accurate sales information, and assist with timely collection of receivables.
- Maintain strong technical knowledge of agronomy, fertilizer, seed, crop protection, and precision agriculture products.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agronomy, crop production, or a related field preferred. A two-year agriculture degree with relevant experience will also be considered.
- Previous sales experience preferred, especially in agriculture, agronomy, fertilizer, chemical, or seed sales.
- Knowledge of fertilizer, crop protection chemicals, corn seed, and soybean seed strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
- Ability and willingness to prospect for new business and develop new customer relationships.
- Commercial Applicator License and/or Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) certification preferred.
- Knowledge of precision agriculture technology and agricultural information systems is a plus.
