Irritec is hiring an Area Sales Manager to join our team remotely in the northeast territory of the US to provide irrigation solutions to customers.
For over 50 years, we have been designing, manufacturing, and selling innovative irrigation products, guaranteeing maximum water efficiency. With over 11 manufacturing sites across the globe and over 700 employees strong, we specialize in selling drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation, fittings and valves, filtration systems, and polyethylene hose to the agriculture and mining industry.
We’re hiring for an Area Sales Manager for the Great Lakes & Northeast region (MI, IL, IN, OH, PA, NY, NJ, DE, MY, WV, New England States & Eastern Canada. You would be working closely with our current dealer and distributor network to maximize sales within the territory and be their go-to resource and technical expert. You would work to be a true partner with the dealers to maximize end-user satisfaction. Although we sell 100% through the dealer/distributor network, you would also focus on increasing market share by building awareness of our product line to larger growers and other channels.
Enjoy working with an organization with next to zero turnover while covering a regional territory. You may live anywhere within the territory with travel throughout. Expected overnight travel will depend on where you are based, as this role is remote. This role is for you if you bring:
- Proven track record in agricultural / agronomy sales and account management within the region
- Basic understanding of irrigation, pumps, fertigation, precision ag and/or pump controls
- Bachelor’s degree in agri-business, agriculture, water management, crop and soil sciences, irrigation design, mechanical engineering or a related field is a plus
- Increase the overall success by maximizing the total potential product sales in the region
- Be the primary contact for all dealers and distributors within the territory
- Be the technical, go-to resource trouble shooting for dealers
- Maximize the opportunity for sales by gaining market share; execute pull through marketing by identifying and building relationships with new growers
- Work closely with dealers to resolve any order issues or product concerns
- Maintain strong competitor awareness
- Develop sales forecasting for each dealer and monitor dealer performance
- Attend trade shows, grower meetings, and host grower events to build product awareness
