Bindery & Finishing Specialist - Ag Comm

Description & Details: The Bindery and Finishing Specialist produces completed print products by setting up and operating bindery and finishing equipment, interpreting job tickets and production specifications, inspecting work for accuracy and quality, and preparing completed projects for delivery. The position helps Print and Copy Services deliver accurate and timely work that meets customer specifications and deadlines.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Hiring Range: $33,000 - $35,000+

Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED and two years of related experience in bindery, print finishing, commercial printing, manufacturing equipment operation or a closely related production environment. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience setting up and operating commercial bindery or print-finishing equipment.
Experience with programmable paper cutters, folders, drills, stitchers, slitter-creasers, laminators or similar production equipment.
Experience reading job tickets, work orders or production specifications.
Experience performing in-process and final quality inspections.
Experience with digital print-production or print-management workflows.
Training or education in print technology, graphic communications, manufacturing technology or a related field.
