DAILY ROUTINE: Day-to-day responsibilities will center on active poultry flock management and high-quality farm maintenance:
- Flock Care & Growth: Monitor animal health, set up houses for new flocks, manage water and feed line adjustments.
- Environment: Maintain the ideal climate in the barns, wash fans, and clean feed bin pads to ensure optimal conditions.
- Biosecurity & Sanitation: Perform daily mortality management (collection, recording, and composting/incineration), care for chick trays, and maintain bait stations.
- Facility Maintenance: Handle minor repairs using hand-held drills.
- Data Tracking: Log accurate daily totals for mortality and water consumption to help track flock health trends.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
- Detail-Oriented Employees: Ability to quickly spot environmental issues, livestock health changes, or equipment variances and fix them immediately.
- Safety Leaders: Commitment to enforcing company safety codes, environmental laws, and emergency protocols across your section.
- Hands-On Skill: Experience or comfort operating basic tools, driving utility vehicles, and working independently on daily checklists.
- Physical Capability: Comfort walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a farm setting.
