Civil Engineer (Agricultural Market Sector)

In this role, you'll assist in the design, permitting, and implementation of projects for agricultural businesses/facilities. Goals & Responsibilities

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist with design and planning for agricultural infrastructure, waste transfer/storage systems, and storm water solutions.
  • Prepare technical reports, plans, and permit applications for submission to regulatory agencies such as WDNR, ACOE, NRCS, DATCP and local authorities.
  • Support senior engineers with project management tasks, cost estimates, and construction oversight.
  • Collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Participate in business development efforts by maintaining client relationships and identifying potential project opportunities.

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering (or related discipline).
  • A minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience; prior agricultural or environmental experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and basic design principles.
  • Experience or interest in HydroCAD or similar storm water modeling software.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Enthusiasm for learning, problem-solving, and contributing to a positive team culture.
  • Client-facing experience or the ability to build relationships that can lead to new business is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License and Proof of Automobile Insurance.
