Crop Advisor - Grow Your Career in Agronomy with MacEwen!

Are you passionate about crop production and helping growers succeed? MacEwen Agricentre is looking for a results-driven Crop Advisor to join our team and support Eastern Ontario's farming community with trusted agronomic advice, products, and services.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build long-term relationships with growers while delivering crop input solutions tailored to their operations. You'll be backed by an experienced team and have access to continuous learning, innovative tools, and the latest in crop technology.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with growers to understand their needs and offer customized crop input solutions, including fertilizer, seed, crop protection, and precision ag services

  • Conduct on-farm field scouting, take soil samples, and provide fertility and crop protection recommendations

  • Create and manage prescriptions based on field data and crop performance

  • Educate farmers on the products and practices being applied to their fields

  • Build and grow your assigned territory through proactive sales and service

  • Complete regular field visits, attend grower meetings, and represent MacEwen at ag events

  • Own and deliver business development projects as assigned by the Sales Manager

  • Maintain accurate digital records and contribute to reporting and planning

  • Participate in training sessions, product updates, and agronomic workshops


What You Bring:

  • Degree or Diploma in Agriculture (or equivalent experience)

  • 3-5 years experience in agronomy, ag retail, or crop advising

  • CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) designation preferred (or willingness to obtain)

  • Valid Class G license and a clean driver's abstract

  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and digital ag tools

  • Organized, analytical, and able to manage your time and client needs effectively

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly

  • Bilingual (English/French) preferred

  • A proactive mindset with the desire to build strong customer relationships
