The Farmington Public School District is looking for a Cafeteria Monitor for East Farms Elementary School (Grades K-4).

The position is 3.0 hours per day, 10:45 AM - 1:45 PM, school year

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. Candidate should hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.

B. Candidate should demonstrate the ability to communicate with students while maintaining order with large student groups.

C. Consideration will be given to the following:

1. references that indicate the candidate possesses the skills required for this position

2. ability to control order with group of students

3. ability to communicate effectively

4. ability to make sound judgment

REPORTS TO: School Principal or Assigned Staff Member

SALARY: $21.02 - $$25.37 per hour commensurate with experience

BENEFITS: Three Personal Days, Sick time accrued per CTPSL

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The monitor provides a variety of monitoring activities to provide order in large student gatherings. This includes maintaining school discipline codes, attendance records for class periods assigned, controlling access from the outside and preparing student passes, as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintain student order in assigned areas.

2. Prepare reports, as required

3. Demonstrate ability to communicate with students

4. Other related duties, as assigned
