Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support the owners in coordinating daily farm activities across summer and winter cropping programs while assisting with staff supervision, operational planning and the efficient execution of seasonal workloads.
- Operate, set up and optimise modern CASE machinery equipped with Trimble GPS guidance systems across sowing, spraying, fertiliser application and harvesting operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Take ownership of workshop operations by implementing structured servicing and maintenance programs, diagnosing mechanical issues and carrying out repairs to machinery, equipment and supporting infrastructure.
- Assist in the development and training of existing staff by providing practical instruction, promoting safe work practices and helping build capability across the farming operation.
- Contribute to the adoption and implementation of emerging agricultural technologies, including autonomous machinery systems, while maintaining accurate operational records through smartphones, tablets and other digital platforms.
- Demonstrated experience within broadacre cropping operations, including the confident operation and setup of modern machinery, with previous exposure to CASE equipment highly regarded.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a preference for candidates possessing heavy diesel mechanical experience, although experienced boilermakers with agricultural backgrounds will also be considered.
- Proven leadership and communication skills with the confidence to mentor staff, provide instruction and step into a management support role when required.
- Sound technology skills, including experience with Trimble GPS auto-steer systems, digital record keeping and an interest in emerging agricultural technologies and autonomous equipment.
- Current driver's licence, chemical accreditation and first aid certificate, together with good literacy, numeracy and organisational skills and a commitment to company workplace policies.
- Full-time permanent position with flexible commencement date.
