Our client is a respected, family-owned and operated aggregation located in the border region, known for exceptional staff retention and strong industry reputation. Their operation spans both irrigation (including syphon and bankless systems) and dryland farming country. This working, hands-on position reports directly to the Farm Manager and plays a critical role in the daily planning and execution of all cropping activities. You will work closely with the Farm Manager, supporting operations and providing leadership to a small team. The position offers future career progression within a stable, supportive farming business. The position is based on the company's property at Talwood which is situated 40klms from Talwood & 130klms to Goondiwindi.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Assist in coordinating and implementing effective crop production plans across irrigated and dryland cotton.
• Confidently contribute to the end-to-end cropping cycle, from planning through to picking & harvest.
• Provide mechanical and general maintenance support across the operation.
• Supervise and manage staff, contractors, and daily operations, including stepping up when the Farm Manager is absent.

Selection Criteria:

• Previous experience in irrigated and dryland cotton operations, including hands-on involvement.
• Capable leadership skills with proven experience managing a small team.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to support on-farm maintenance.
• Reliable, flexible, safety-minded operator with a positive work ethic and long-term intent.
