Waterloo, Indiana (about 30 miles north of Fort Wayne)
Walker Farms is looking for a Farm Equipment Operator who enjoys working with modern equipment and contributing to a wide variety of farm operations throughout the year.
We are a progressive, diversified family farm in Northeast Indiana. In addition to row crops, our operation includes excavating and tiling, seed sales, large square straw production, and extensive use of modern equipment and precision agriculture technology.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is comfortable operating large farm machinery and agriculture equipment and takes pride in completing work safely, efficiently, and correctly. Previous farm equipment experience is preferred, but extensive agricultural experience is not required for the right candidate.
Mechanical ability is valuable in this role. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to perform routine maintenance, identify equipment issues, and assist with repairs. A formal mechanic background is not required.
Just as important, this person must be a team player. We are looking for someone who willingly helps others, communicates openly, and understands that the entire operation succeeds as a team.
We offer competitive compensation based on experience and ability, health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
