Agronomy Applicator

Ray-Carroll is hiring a Farm Equipment Operator - Agronomy Applicator in Carrollton, MO. In this role, you will apply fertilizer and crop protection products to customer fields while supporting daily agronomy operations, equipment maintenance, and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Apply agronomy products to customer fields, including dry and liquid fertilizer, crop protection products, lime, and NH3.
  • Communicate daily activities, operational needs, and completed work with the Location Manager and/or Operations Manager.
  • Safely operate application equipment, tending equipment, NH3 equipment, pickups, side-dress equipment, and other company vehicles.
  • Maintain application equipment and accurately document required maintenance and service.
  • Complete daily application records and other required documentation.
  • Assist with receiving, loading, unloading, and handling inbound and outbound agronomy products.
  • Assist with measuring and counting inventory, including dry and liquid fertilizer, NH3, and crop protection products.
  • Scout fields for insects, weeds, and other concerns when needed in the absence of a Sales Agronomist.
  • Assist with general facility and grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed control, snow removal, and housekeeping.
  • Follow all applicable local, state, and federal DOT regulations along with Ray-Carroll policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment and vehicles safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Provide courteous, professional service to customers, employees, and member-owners.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a safe, productive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Support company objectives and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain an Applicator’s License.
  • Farming or agricultural experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a hands-on agricultural environment.
