Farm Equipment Operator - Truck Driver

Family Time Farm is hiring a Farm Equipment Operator – Truck Driver to join our team in Bloomfield, IA (about 100 miles southeast of Des Moines). In this role you will support our crop and farming operations. You will split time between driving semi trucks and operating a variety of farm machinery and agriculture equipment for planting, spraying, organic weed control, and other seasonal fieldwork.

We are a diversified farming operation located in Southeast Iowa. Our operation includes approximately 2,500 acres of conventional and organic crop production, contract feeding 7,200 pigs for JBS, backgrounding 500 head of calves, and raising approximately 20,000 organic pasture-raised chickens. What you will be doing:

• Drive semi trucks to support daily farm and agriculture operations.
• Operate farm machinery and agriculture equipment for planting, spraying, organic weed control, and other fieldwork.
• Safely operate tractors and other agricultural equipment throughout the growing and harvest seasons.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on semi trucks, farm machinery, and agriculture equipment.
• Assist with general farm operations and seasonal work as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and communicate larger repair or maintenance needs.
• Work independently while supporting the rest of the farm team.

This job is for you if you have:

• Valid CDL with experience operating semi trucks.
• Previous experience operating farm machinery and agriculture equipment.
• Experience with tractors, planting equipment, sprayers, or other crop production machinery preferred.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to safely operate and care for farm machinery and agriculture equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors and adapting to changing seasonal farm needs.
