
Farm Hand - Delivery Driver
Welcome to Grand River Angus! We are hiring a Farm Hand – Delivery Driver to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role you will assist with all aspects of the farm, including cattle care and calving, hay production, operating farm and agriculture equipment, and delivering feed and dairy nutrition products to local farms throughout West Michigan.
We are an Angus cattle and hay farm located in Western Michigan. Our agriculture operation includes approximately 30 cows with calves and 300 acres of hay production. We pride ourselves on providing a positive, family-like working atmosphere. What you will be doing:
- Maintain overall cattle herd health, including feeding, calving assistance, clean bedding, and other daily livestock care.
- Operate tractors and other farm and agriculture equipment for hay production, manure spreading, fieldwork, and general farm operations.
- Mow, rake, and bale hay throughout the hay production season.
- Safely operate delivery trucks to transport feed, dairy nutrition, calf products, and other agricultural products to local farms throughout West Michigan.
- Load and unload trucks and agricultural products while ensuring deliveries are accurate and completed on schedule.
- Work directly with local farmers and maintain delivery records, routes, and professional customer service.
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep of farm machinery, agriculture equipment, trucks, fences, and farm property.
- Support other farm and agriculture responsibilities as needed, including trimming trees, spraying weeds, and seasonal projects.
This job is for you if you have:
- Valid Class B CDL required.
- Class A CDL strongly preferred.
- Previous truck driving, delivery, farm, or agriculture experience.
- Previous experience operating tractors, farm machinery, agriculture equipment, or other heavy equipment.
- Cattle and calving experience is preferred.
- Ability to safely load, unload, and handle feed and agricultural products.
- A strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- An honest, responsible, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to assist wherever needed on the farm and during busy agriculture seasons.
