Farm Laborer - Seasonal
Position Summary
This role will involve a combination of grain hauling, general labor and equipment operation, making it suitable for candidates with varying levels of experience in farm operations.
Team members will primarily be responsible for safe transport of grain from the field, to the appropriate grain storage facility (on-farm or grain elevator). Additionally, based on operational demand, Team members may be asked to operate other farm equipment; including a grain cart or tillage equipment. This position is essential for the upcoming 2026 harvest season; compensation will be based on experience.

Essential Job Functions
- Haul grain from the field to the appropriate storage location (on-site or elevator)
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections - assuring safety of the vehicle
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and inform supervisor of vehicle problems
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure equipment is in compliance with safety regulations
- Work closely with coworkers to ensure smooth operation of the harvest season
- Other tasks/duties as assigned
This job is for you if you have
- Strong work ethic, good moral character, and a commitment to high standards of ethical behavior
- Ability to safely & effectively operate and maintain semi-trucks, trailers and loadout equipment used for the transportation of grain to/from on-farm storage facilities
- General working knowledge of an agricultural row-crop operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (on occasion)
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Basic mechanical skills required in order to perform equipment maintenance
- Willingness to work flexible hours, with extended hours during peak seasons
- Ability to work in a dusty environment
- Ability to safely handle "on the road" situations that develop from time to time (accidents, detours, construction sites, inclement weather, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the USA
- Valid (Class A) CDL with Air Brake endorsement
- A clean driving record
