We are hiring a full-time, year-round Farm Manager for our Temperance, Michigan location. This is a hands-on working manager position responsible for the daily operation of approximately 2,500 acres of potatoes and grain.
You will coordinate planting and harvest activities performed by outside custom operators while managing crop scouting, irrigation, fertigation, potato storage and outbound shipments. During the off-season, the focus shifts to equipment maintenance, repairs, planning and preparation for the upcoming season. This location has a small internal team of two to three employees, depending on the season, and works closely with Lennard Ag’s agronomy team and Owner located in Howe, Indiana.
We are willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, practical problem-solving skills, and mechanical and electrical aptitude. You will have a mentor at this location as you learn our operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor crops throughout the growing season and communicate field conditions
- Work with the agronomy team to carry out the seasonal crop plan
- Operate, monitor and maintain irrigation and fertigation systems
- Oversee potato storage conditions, inventory and outbound shipments
- Troubleshoot and complete basic mechanical and electrical repairs
- Keep equipment properly maintained and ready for the season
- Coordinate shared equipment and personnel with other Lennard Ag locations
- Maintain the weekly farm operations dashboard
- Communicate regularly with the team at the Howe, Indiana headquarters
- Maintain a safe, organized and productive operation
