Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Lead a premier Upper Hunter stud farm's farming operations and shape the backbone of a high-performing thoroughbred enterprise.
- Lead farming operations across a large-scale, prestigious thoroughbred stud with genuine autonomy and impact.
- Manage staff, infrastructure, livestock handling, machinery, contractors, and day-to-day farm operations.
- On-farm accommodation, vehicle, competitive salary, and the lifestyle of the Upper Hunter Valley.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Lead, manage, and mentor the farm crew, including staff inductions, onboarding, and performance oversight.
- Oversee all farm operations including fencing, infrastructure maintenance, paddock and pasture management, irrigation, and water systems.
- Manage the farm workshop, machinery, vehicles, and repair schedules, including registrations and maintenance programs.
- Coordinate contractors, fuel and bulk feed deliveries, and general farm logistics and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations and occupational health and safety standards across all operations, including horse handling.
- Proven rural or agricultural experience, ideally within equine operations.
- Strong knowledge of farm operations, animal care, and agricultural best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Experience operating a farm workshop and farm machinery; relevant licences and tickets required (Heavy Vehicle Licence desirable).
- Strong commitment to workplace safety with the ability to ensure all activities are conducted safely and efficiently.
- On-farm accommodation provided (utilities included), tailored to the successful candidate's circumstances.
- Motor vehicle provided.
- Primary school bus access available (15-20 minutes to bus stop, primary school approximately 35 minutes away). Secondary schooling options are limited in the immediate area.
