Field Operations Manager
Welcome to Norbest Farms! We’re hiring a Field Operations Manager to join our team in Sturgeon County, Alberta (about 20 minutes north of Edmonton). This is a hands-on, diverse position that combines responsibilities in equipment operation, maintenance, and field management. In this role you will be integral to daily farm operations, including planting, harvesting, equipment repair, irrigation, and storage management.
We are a family-run seed potato farm located just north of Edmonton, Alberta. We specialize in growing over 700 acres of high-generation seed potatoes and producing 8+ varieties. Our farm uses the latest equipment and irrigation systems powered by water from the North Saskatchewan River. We value dedication, loyalty, and a strong work ethic. Our team consists of experienced staff members, with some working with us for over 20 years. As a member of our farm, you'll be treated like family, contributing to all aspects of farm operations.

What you will be doing:
- Perform the repair and maintenance of all farm equipment
- Oversee planting, maintaining, and harvesting of the potato crop
- Assist with shipping operations and storage management
- Help operate and maintain irrigation systems during the summer season
- Contribute to a variety of tasks across the farm, with a focus on improving operations
This job is for you if you have:
- Previous experience working on a potato farm is essential
- Strong skills in repairing, welding, and maintaining farm equipment
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and fix all types of machinery
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
- A self-starter who takes initiative and takes pride in producing high-quality crops
- Must be willing to relocate to the Sturgeon County area
