Full-Time Faculty - Veterinary Large Animal - Farm Animal
Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, laboratories, and/or seminars in Large Animal / Farm Animal. Mentor and advise veterinary students, guiding their academic and professional development. Collaborate with other faculty members to design and implement an integrated, competency-based curriculum. The position includes active participation in clinical service within the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, with responsibilities that integrate patient care, teaching of veterinary students and residents, and collaboration with faculty clinicians. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the curriculum through active participation in departmental and college-wide committees. Comply with the policies, manuals, academic procedures, and executive orders that apply to the teaching staff of the program. Comply with the actions established in the licensing and accreditation plan according to the academic offering of the academic program. Establish and maintain a productive research program that contributes to the advancement of knowledge in your field. Publish research findings in reputable, peer-reviewed journals. Participate actively in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee work and student advising.
Requisitos
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Diplomate or board-eligible in Large Animal Internal Medicine, or residency-trained in Food Animal. Ph.D. preferred. Five (5) years of clinical and/or teaching experience in veterinary medicine. Demonstrate excellence in teaching and research in specialty area. Tracked record of scholarly activity, including publications and successful grant applications. Commitment to student-centered education and innovative teaching practices. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies. Dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to engage in interdisciplinary research and collaboration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be proficient in English, as all instruction is delivered in English.
