Farm, Ranch, and Greenhouse Operations

Nature’s Way Farms is hiring a Grower in Redland, FL (about 35 miles southwest of Miami). In this role you will oversee the day-to-day care and production of our outdoor ornamental crops. You’ll be hands-on in the field, monitoring plant health, irrigation, nutrition, pests, diseases, and overall crop performance while making adjustments to keep plants healthy and production on schedule.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage the day-to-day growing and production of assigned crops and growing areas.
  • Monitor plant health, growth, nutrition, irrigation, and overall crop performance.
  • Identify potential crop issues early and take action to maintain plant health and quality.
  • Manage insect, disease, and nutritional challenges in partnership with our IPM team.
  • Adjust horticulture and growing practices based on weather, seasonal conditions, and individual crop needs.
  • Maintain high standards for plant quality, appearance, and inventory readiness.
  • Work closely with production, shipping, and operations teams to deliver quality plants on schedule.
  • Lead, coach, and support field personnel while promoting safe and efficient work practices.
  • Maintain accurate crop, irrigation, fertilizer, and production records.
  • Follow company safety policies and environmental requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve horticulture practices, crop quality, productivity, and efficiency.

This job is for you if you have:

  • 3+ years of commercial nursery, horticulture, greenhouse, or agricultural growing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ornamental plant production and horticultural growing practices.
  • Experience with irrigation, plant nutrition, fertilizer programs, and pest and disease management.
  • Outdoor nursery or field-growing experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of plant health with the ability to quickly identify and resolve problems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced growing environment.
  • Hands-on, team-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round in South Florida’s hot and humid climate.
  • Bilingual skills in English, Spanish, or Creole are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record for insurance purpose is a plus.
