Herdsman

Monitoring fresh pen daily for sick cows via SCR collars, visual inspection, and follow protocols on current sick animals for treatments. Walking and monitoring young stock for sickness following protocols for treatment. Use dairy comp to record treatments. Checking fresh cow and colostrum calf equipment for functionality and cleanliness, visually and with a ATP meter. Oversee that sick animals, fresh animals, newborn calves protocols are being adhered to correctly.

Working in a team setting and individually all while being conscious of time for the animals wellbeing are very important.

Experience preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
