Horticulture Assistant (1 CWS/FWS and 1 Perkins Grant), SC1HRTASSTHORT (FA26)
Student Worker Eligibility:
Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
To assist in the greenhouse and landscape lab.
(Denotes essential functions) Watering, trimming, potting greenhouse and exterior plants. Mow, trim, weed, plant, and prune landscape lab area. General maintenance tasks in greenhouse and landscape lab Assist in hardscape installations. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Working Conditions:Possible evening, weekend or holiday hours may be required. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Work may be during inclement weather conditions. May lift up to 25 lbs. This student position does not require pre-employment tests.
Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour

- High school diploma or equivalent.
