Local Truck Driver

Cantril Feed & Grain is hiring a Local Truck Driver to join our team in Cantril, IA (Southeast Iowa). In this role you will operate a commercial truck on local routes delivering feed and agriculture products directly to farms throughout Iowa and Missouri.

We are a local agriculture and feed business serving farmers and livestock producers from our location in Cantril, Iowa. We provide a variety of feed, bulk commodities, minerals, and livestock nutrition products to support farms and agriculture operations throughout the area.

What you will be doing:

• Safely operate commercial trucks to transport and deliver feed and agriculture products to farms throughout Iowa and Missouri.
• Complete multiple trips and farm deliveries throughout the workday according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Safely maneuver trucks into farms, livestock operations, and rural properties, including locations with narrow roads, tight driveways, and limited turnaround space.
• Make sure feed is delivered to the correct farm, bin, or designated delivery location.
• Follow GPS directions as well as specific instructions provided by customers and management.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Monitor truck condition and promptly report maintenance or mechanical concerns.
• Keep assigned equipment clean and in good working condition.

This job is for you if you have:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Commercial truck driving experience preferred.
• Experience with farm, agriculture, feed, grain, livestock, or rural delivery operations is a plus.
• Skilled at maneuvering commercial trucks in tight and challenging farm environments.
• Comfortable driving on rural roads and entering active farm properties.
• Ability to carefully follow delivery instructions and customer directions.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb bins and safely lift and handle 50 lb. bags.
