RESPONSIBILITIES:
Production Scheduling and Materials Management:
- Oversee production scheduling, materialspurchasing, receiving, warehousing, and handling within the manufacturing process.
- Provide SAP Master Data support.
- Manage raw materials, ingredients, and productionsuppliespurchases tomaintain100% supply availability for scheduled production requirements.
- Ensure inventory controls are in line with Tyson Foods finance guidelines.
- Responsible for SOX Key Controls provisions, Food Defense Plan, SQF Program, and Environmental Regulations associated with raw materials, ingredients, and production supplies in all storage and warehouse areas.
- Maintain proper housekeeping in all facilities.
- Manage safety to ensure all goals are met or exceeded.
- Maintain a motivated team to minimize costs and maximizeefficiencieswhile meeting corporateobjectives.
- Manage Lean projects to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage warehouses and materialproduct handlingto minimize product damage.
- Maximize internal storage capacities in conjunction with public storage requirements.
- Manage offsite warehousing and product movement between warehouses.
- Utilize SAP as a business transformation tool to reduce costs through operational improvements and enhancedresultsreporting tools.
- Education: Bachelor s degree; B.A. in Logistics or Business Administration preferred.Master'sdegreeisa plus. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience:5plusyears'related experience in Distribution or Materials Handling. 5years' experienceworking with meat manufacturing and supervising managers preferred.
- Computer Skills: Standard computer skills including Microsoft Office programs such as Word Excel Power Point and Distribution Software.Advanced excel experience. SAP is a plus.
- Supervisory: This positionis responsible forsupervising a group of personnel in multiple departments or work units who perform similarandinterrelated tasks and activities.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Special Skills: Display sound judgment and decision-making leadership and organizational skills. Flexibility to work off hours on occasion to provide guidance and training to a three shift 67 dayoperation.
