MI - Refrigeration Technician

Position Summary:

Ensure the daily operation of our refrigeration and diesel systems. This role requires a motivated individual with a strong background in diesel mechanics, refrigeration systems, and logistics. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a dynamic working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Check and log reefer temps daily.
• Monitor the Cortex system daily to ensure refrigeration units are functioning properly.
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on refrigerated trailer units as needed, including emergency response at any hour.
• Reload trailers when units are non-repairable.
• Troubleshoot and resolve refrigeration system issues.
• Operate Hi-Lo machinery as needed.
• Travel between various farm locations to perform service duties.
• Maintain accurate records and follow safety protocols in all operations.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Problem-solving aptitude and adaptability.
• Proficient in basic computer systems and monitoring software.
• Experience with Hi-Lo operation and basic mechanical handling.
• Ability and willingness to travel frequently between different company sites.
• Does not own or maintain regular contact with birds, pigs, cattle, goats, sheep, or unprocessed eggs

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time.
