Mill Qualifications:
  • Must be able to perform all functions necessary to operate all equipment in the milling process in a safe, sanitary, and efficient manner.
  • Must be capable of learning the cleaning, tempering, and milling process flow.
  • Will be responsible for 5S ownership in assigned areas and CID's.
  • Will be required to maintain assigned Food Protection duties (FPP).
  • Will be required to maintain qualifications as dictated by the Employee Classification procedures (ECP's).
  • Will be responsible for production levels on the mill.
  • Will be responsible for lining out equipment and optimizing reliability rates for mill operation.
  • Will be responsible for downtime and uptime PMs of the mill.
  • Will be responsible for testing/sampling products to ensure run is in specification.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot and resolve all technical issues with all milling equipment.
  • Will be required to work side by side when maintenance personnel are performing work on the equipment you are operating.

Elevator Qualifications:
  • Must be capable of learning and safely operate the grain handling tasks in the grain elevator. Must perform such tasks as: Unloading grain, blending grain, moving rail cars with shuttle wagon, simple maintenance, and lubrication tasks.
  • Must be able to complete and maintain the necessary records (Create and complete blend sheets, update database inventories, rail/truck loading/unloading data, process efficiency data, and others as required). Operators will also be required to train/qualify on scale operations and generate One-weigh tickets for customers.
  • Must maintain high levels of safety and sanitation performance in and around the grain elevators and other areas as assigned.
  • Will be required to maintain areas assigned to meet or exceed Food Protection Audit requirements (FPA).
  • Will be required to maintain qualifications as dictated by the Employee Classification Procedures (ECP's).
  • Must have a working knowledge of and ability to use computers, scales, operate control board, blend grain, etc.

Duties when not relieving operators:
  • Scrub areas of buildings and equipment
  • Paint as needed and directed
  • Patch holes in walls/floors/ceilings left from former equipment removal
  • Clean and organize areas as assigned
  • Reliefs will not sweep floors that are assigned to operators, unless directed

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
  • Must be able to ascend and descend stairs, multiple times per day
  • Climb ladder, step and extension
  • Able to lift to 50 pounds and exert 20 pounds of force
  • Frequently stand, walk, rotate, bend/stoop, twist, crouch, kneel, balance and reach at shoulder level and below shoulder level
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a dust mask
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
