We're seeking a Plant Operations Manager to join KAPI's food-grade soybean processing facility in Marysville, OH. In this role, you'll lead daily plant operations, production planning, workforce management, quality and safety programs, grower relationships, and continuous improvement across the facility.

The facility processes approximately 1 million bushels of Non-GMO and organic soybeans annually, with approximately 70% of production exported to Japan and the remainder sold domestically.
The plant works closely with growers throughout Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana and operates a hands-on processing environment with multiple bagging lines, limited storage capacity, and a strong focus on quality, traceability, and food-grade standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily plant and warehouse operations, including receiving, processing, bagging, storage, and shipping support.
- Develop daily and weekly production schedules based on customer orders, raw material availability, inventory, staffing, and plant capacity.
- Lead plant operators and temporary staff, including work assignments, training, performance management, and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with growers and coordinate inbound delivery schedules.
- Monitor incoming soybean quality and make final decisions on load acceptance and rejection.
- Oversee product quality, traceability, cleanouts, and separation of Non-GMO, organic, seed, and customer-specific products.
- Monitor throughput, yield, downtime, cleanout loss, labor productivity, inventory accuracy, and other operating results.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and outside contractors.
- Manage food safety programs, certifications, audits, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least three years of supervisory or management experience in agriculture, food processing, grain or seed processing, or a comparable production environment.
- Agricultural background and experience working with growers strongly preferred.
- Hands-on production leadership experience with responsibility for employees, equipment, scheduling, and daily operations.
- Ability to work independently and make timely operational decisions in a hands-on plant environment.
- Experience with food safety, quality systems, Non-GMO, organic, SQF, GMP, HACCP, or regulatory compliance strongly preferred.
