Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, label, and stock poultry products according to department standards
- Keep display cases full, organized, fresh, and visually appealing throughout the day
- Monitor product quality and freshness and follow proper product rotation practices
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service, including assisting customers with product questions and selections
- Maintain clean and organized counters, equipment, prep areas, and workspaces
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, HACCP, and company procedures
- Assist with daily department setup, preparation, stocking, and closing responsibilities
- Support inventory awareness by communicating product needs or shortages to department leadership
- Work cooperatively with other poultry team members and departments throughout the market
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both customers and coworkers
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, retail, or food service experience is preferred but not required
- Friendly and dependable with a willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and product quality
- Reliable attendance and a positive approach to work
- Willingness to learn proper food handling, preparation, and sanitation procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods
- Ability to work in refrigerated or cooler environments
- Ability to safely use knives and other food preparation equipment after proper training
Schedule
- Thursday: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 pm or 9 am - 6 pm
