Job Responsibilities

This position is a key member of the Precision Ag Department who supports our customers with their John Deere Precision Ag products. The focus of this position will be assistingcustomers with Precision Ag troubleshooting, machine optimizations, andtraining support customers with Precision Ag troubleshooting, machine optimizations, and training support. Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Provide Precision Agriculture technical phone supportwith a focus on superior customer service
  • Develop and present product training to bothcustomers and Huron Tractor staff
  • Perform machine optimization visits to customers andthat include instruction on settings and adjustments
  • Plan and execute machine demonstrations toprospective customers
  • Some activities listed above may require workingweekends and evenings during planting and harvest season

Skills and Qualifications
  • 4 + years of experience in a precision agriculture role, Agronomy or a related Agricultural Technology role
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy or arelated discipline
  • 5-7 years in a customer service type position withevidence of strong interpersonal skills and customer support
  • A proven track record of building long-term relationshipswith clients
  • Strong technical background and proficiency withcomputer applications
  • Knowledge of application equipment, willing tonetwork with experts in the industry for support
  • Exceptional self-starting abilities
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • An affinity for learning and staying up to datewith new technology and data solutions
  • Ability to operate with a solutions approach andidentify existing/emerging customer needs
  • Ability to use standard desktop applications suchas Microsoft Office and internet applications

WageRange
  • $70k- $90k per year
  • The posted pay range reflects the skills andqualifications listed above. Candidates with higher or lower levels ofexperience, education or knowledge may be considered at a point outside therange.
