PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - FOOD MANUFACTURING

KENT Consumer Brands Americas, LLC, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDE™ family of companies, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead safe, efficient, and high-quality food manufacturing operations at their Bolingbrook, IL facility. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for developing production and blending teams, driving accountability, and ensuring production, quality, safety, and sanitation goals are achieved. This position is designed and intended to be performed in Bolingbrook, IL.

The compensation range for this role is $65,000 - $88,000, in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead shift operations to achieve production, quality, safety, productivity, customer service, and waste reduction goals.
  • Coordinate shift handoffs and collaborate with warehouse and production teams to ensure materials, equipment, and staffing are aligned with production schedules.
  • Assign work, monitor performance, and troubleshoot equipment, process, and personnel issues to maintain efficient operations.
  • Verify CCP/CQP compliance, production documentation accuracy, and adherence to SOPs, GMPs, SQF requirements, and sanitation standards.
  • Coordinate equipment setup, changeovers, and line performance to maximize product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Coach, train, evaluate, and develop employees while supporting hiring, performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Champion workplace safety by conducting meetings, inspections, audits, incident investigations, and ensuring timely reporting of accidents and near misses.
  • Manage employee scheduling, vacation approvals, timekeeping, attendance, overtime, training records, and communication of plant goals and performance.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-4 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing, blending, packaging, or production operations.
  • Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, sanitation, and quality systems.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
