QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or (GED) required. Must be 18 years of age and have a valid Illinois Driver's License. Must have an interest in and the ability to interact with children and adults. Good customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of basic repair and small hand tools preferred. Must have neat appearance, ability to handle crowds, and be polite but firm. Must be safety minded and enforce safety rules. Must enjoy working outdoors under various weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. Ability to stand or sit for sustained period while running the ride. Will be required to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Must be able to work flexible hours with weekends required.
DUTIES
Under the direction and supervision of the Blackberry Farm Maintenance Manager, the Ride Operator will operate the assigned ride for the carousel, train, and/or hayride areas. Perform inspections and minor repairs or report larger concerns to the supervisor. Provide quality customer service and maintain a safe and clean environment for patrons. This is an at-will position.
