Seasonal Agronomy Operations

Job Brief:
The Agronomy Operations Associate will perform duties with agronomy in the facility in accordance with safety policies and procedures. This role will work during peak operation seasons.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide support for some or all the following operations:
a. Seed treatment, delivery, and warehouse organization
b. Liquid and Chemical loading, receiving, and delivery
c. Dry Fertilizer loading, receiving, and delivery
d. NH3 loading and tank delivery
2. Interact with customers and provide customer service.
3. Record all incoming and outgoing deliveries according to policy.
4. Help with inventory count and organization.
5. Help maintain cleanliness of all areas of the facility.
6. Notifies supervisor of any shipping or receiving issues.
7. Comply with government regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
Professionalism:
1. Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.
2. Maintain a clean and positive appearance with both yourself and SLC equipment and facilities.
3. Attending schools and trainings pertaining to agronomy to maintain and build expertise as requested.
4. Perform duties in an efficient and time saving manner.
Maintenance and Safety:
1. Maintain any equipment used for your job in good physical and mechanical condition.
2. Operate equipment in a safe manner and in compliance with all OSHA and/or state and federal regulations.
3. Communicate safe storage and handling procedures to all customers.
4. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
ü One year agronomy experience preferred but not required
ü Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
ü Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
ü Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
ü Excellent time management skills.
ü Ability to solve practical problems.
ü Ability to obtain a HazMat certification
ü Computer skills, knowledge of Oakland Corporation Accounting software, Excel and Word is preferred but not required.
