Edward Theodore Farms is a row crop farming operation based near Maitland, Missouri. We raise corn and soybeans across approximately 5,600 acres in Northwest Missouri. Our team values honesty, hands-on agricultural experience, personal responsibility, and the ability to work together during the demanding harvest season. We are seeking a dependable and experienced equipment operator to join our crew for the upcoming fall harvest.

Position Overview

Edward Theodore Farms is hiring a Seasonal Farm Equipment Operator to assist with corn and soybean harvest operations. This hands-on agricultural position will involve operating large farm machinery, transporting grain, and helping maintain and repair equipment as needed.

The ideal candidate has previous experience operating combines, tractors, semi-trucks, and other agricultural equipment. We are looking for someone who can work independently, take responsibility for their work, and contribute positively as part of a team.

Candidates should be available to begin around September 1 and remain through the completion of harvest, which may extend through mid-December.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $21–$25 per hour, depending on experience and capabilities
  • Bonus opportunities

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate combines, tractors, semi-trucks, and other large farm equipment
  • Assist with corn and soybean harvesting activities
  • Transport grain and agricultural materials as needed
  • Operate and maneuver equipment safely in fields, farmyards, and other work areas
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Assist with general machinery troubleshooting and repairs
  • Keep equipment and work areas clean, organized, and ready for use
  • Communicate effectively with other members of the harvest crew
  • Work extended or variable hours when needed during peak harvest periods
  • Follow all farm and equipment safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating large farm machinery
  • Experience operating combines, tractors, and semi-trucks
  • General knowledge of agricultural equipment maintenance and repair
  • Ability to safely and responsibly operate equipment with limited supervision
  • Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
  • Honest, responsible, and team-oriented approach
  • Ability to adapt to changing harvest schedules and daily priorities
  • Willingness to work seasonal harvest hours as needed

Schedule and Season

This is a seasonal harvest position expected to begin around September 1 and continue through the completion of harvest, potentially through mid-December. Hours and schedules may vary depending on crop conditions, weather, and harvest demands.
