Senior Civil Engineer (Agricultural Market Sector)

Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Agriculture Team. In this critical role, you will deliver world-class design, permitting, planning, and consulting services to agricultural businesses/facilities. Goals & Responsibilities

This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Manage projects involving waste transfer, storage/processing systems, specialized storm water systems, water quality, and building expansion/permitting.
  • Coordinate project work with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Secure project permits through WDNR, ACOE, NRCS, DATCP and local authorities.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, leveraging these connections to identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Assist the Agriculture Team in client retention and proactive business development strategies.
  • Collaborate across market teams for cross-functional projects.

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering (or related field).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Wisconsin.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience preferred.
  • Agricultural background is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in project management, client interaction, marketing, and business development.
  • Ability to leverage existing client relationships to help drive growth and generate new business for R/M is a significant plus.
  • Experience with proposal development and contract negotiation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency in HydroCAD or equivalent storm water modeling software.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills; team-oriented and deadline-driven with a positive, collaborative mindset.
  • Valid Driver's License and Proof of Automobile Insurance.
