Service Tech

JBZ Dairy Advantage services and installs dairy farm equipment. Brands like DeLaval, AfiMilk, E-Zee Milking, and also to a lesser extent MilkRite InterPuls, GEA, Westfalia/Surge, Bou-Matic, Madero, FoamIt and more.

Service Tasks:

1. Preventative Maintenance - Clean and replace parts on pulsators, takeoffs, milk meters, vacuum pumps, vacuum regulators, milk transfer pumps, CIP washers, air injectors, bulk tank washers and wash pumps. Performance test equipment.
2. Service - Diagnose equipment problems, replace faulty parts, repair equipment, test to verify success.
3. Emergency Service - Once trained, on-call one week out of four for emergency breakdown service.
4. Safety - Must perform tasks using logical precautions.
5. Complete paperwork - Work orders must be filled out in a professional and accurate manner.

Installation Tasks (as needed):

1. Mount, wire and adjust electrical equipment
2. Hang and adjust stainless steel milk pipelines
3. Cut and hang PVC vacuum lines, PVC conduit, water lines, air lines
4. Safe and proper use of hand-operated equipment including drill, chop saw, reciprocating saw, grinder, hand tools and test equipment

Requirements:

1. Some plumbing, electrical and/or mechanical training and/or experience
2. High school diploma or GED
3. Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.
4. Willing and able to take after hours service calls after sufficient training period
5. Must be able to cooperate and work with other employees, including effective and respectful communication
6. Must be honest, self-motivated, patient and respectful
