Tasks
Develop and guide the behaviour of farm animals
Direct farm grooming activities
Handling animals
Manage feed inventory activities
Monitoring animal health
Raise and breed livestock and poultry
Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings
Manage overall operation of farm
Purchase machinery, livestock, seed, feed and other supplies
Determine the amount and kinds of crops to be grown and livestock to be raised
Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
Co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures
Maintain quality control and production records
Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
