Trainee Farm Planner

Job Description:

Setting eggs to required numbers as needed for processing.

We are looking for a Trainee Hatchery Planner

• Working out the number of eggs needed per shed leaving the required number of chicks after hatch.
• Managing/Loading transport for both Nestborn deliveries and hatching egg collections.
• Being able to run a small team of staff to meet their full potential.
• Working closely with the hatchery manager to achieve the best performance from the hatchery.
• Aiding Daily operations when needed
• Cover absence of assistant hatchery manager
• Arrange movements from site to farm
• Aiding with daily/weekly plan for eggs

Skills Needed

• GCSE (Maths and English)
• Driving licence
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Flexible working ability

Requirements, Experience and Person Specification:

• Group and site induction.
• All relevant risk assessments and safe working procedures are reviewed and to current methods.
• Hazards and near miss reporting training.
