UACE Graham County 4 -H Livestock Program Assistant

The Graham County 4-H program is looking for a self-motivated, organized individual that will assist in developing, strengthening, and delivering 4-H educational activities, with staff, project leaders, and members in livestock projects. Participants learn skills in daily care, record keeping, showmanship & exhibition, ethics and Quality assurance. Special emphasis will be hands-on curriculums for youth ages 8-18, that raise, care for, and exhibit animals. The member will help with planning and preparing group lessons and activities. In addition, the member will aid with recruiting and promoting 4-H youth and volunteer participation. Schedule will vary based on programming needs and will require member to attend and help at various monthly afternoon, evening or Saturday meetings, activities and events.

Member Duties : Provide support for project volunteers in the Beef, Lamb, Swine, Poultry & Rabbit projects in the form of assistance, presentations, & logistics. This may include researching, gathering materials & supplies, as well as presenting the best practices to promote learning and implementation. Assist with developing & collecting evaluations. Assist staff & volunteers with the Showmanship Showdown. Assist staff & community volunteers at County Fair. Explore & coordinate partnering opportunities with other related organizations. Assist with planning, researching, gathering necessary materials & supplies & presentations at meetings & workshops. Schedule will vary based on programming needs & will require member to attend & help at various monthly afternoon, evening or Saturday meetings, activities & events. Assist with developing & collecting evaluations at meetings and workshops. Assist in developing, strengthening, & delivery of 4-H educational activities, projects & programs.
