We're seeking a Vice President of Operations to join Southern Garden Centers in Jackson, MS. In this role, you'll oversee operations for an established garden center, improve systems and processes, manage the P&L, and help build the infrastructure needed to support the company's continued growth. As Southern Garden Centers expands, this role will grow into leading operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations and full P&L performance for the Jackson garden center.
- Manage and develop the General Manager and leadership team.
- Build scalable systems for staffing, purchasing, inventory, reporting, and store operations.
- Improve technology, processes, and operational efficiency.
- Plan and execute seasonal operations, particularly the spring season.
- Develop opportunities for recurring revenue through commercial accounts, lawn care, pest control, and related services.
- Support operational due diligence and integration of future acquisitions.
- Help build and develop the leadership team and operating structure as the company expands.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven operations leadership experience with full P&L responsibility in a garden center, nursery, home and garden business, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, and retail operations.
- Experience leading and developing General Managers, store managers, or department leaders.
- Financially fluent with a strong understanding of P&L, margins, labor, and inventory.
