Blooming Nursery

Blooming Nursery was founded in 1982 as a wholesale nursery dedicated to supplying the trade with a wide variety of reliable plant material, including herbaceous perennials, temperennials & annuals, groundcovers, herbs, ornamental grasses, shrubs and vines. We offer finished containers ready for immediate sale and marketed under the Blooming Advantage brand.

Most of our plants are started in our modern propagation greenhouse. We specialize in growing the best varieties for the garden. The majority of Blooming Advantage cultivars are propagated vegetatively.

Plants are then moved to other heated greenhouses or to cool greenhouses and cold frames for growing on.

We use ebb and flood watering systems for improved plant health and reduced disease pressure and to conserve a valuable natural resource:water, on much of our production.

We maintain several acres of perennial cultivars in the field, as we offer many still-worthy "heirloom" plants that have become difficult to find in the trade.

Our plants are grown in open air as much as possible, resulting in a tighter growth habit and hardier sales-ready plants with an extra long shelf life!
