Sheppard Farm is family-owned and proud to be one of the longest-standing, registered Scotch Highland Herds on the East Coast. Nestled in the rolling hills of South-Central Pennsylvania, this all-natural, grass-fed, brood herd has been the spokespeople of the breed for nearly 46 years. Sheppard Farm humanely breeds, calves, and raises about 150 cattle. Our herd is known throughout the region both in the Highland community and to the public. In 2020, our farm was inducted into the American Highland Cattle Association’s Hall of Fame for dedication and preservation of the breed. While Sheppard Farm is primarily a brood cow herd, we do produce all-natural grass-fed beef for the general customer and restaurants. We carefully select buyers for our registered stock, making sure the farms purchasing our animals are prepared for the commitment of raising a heritage breed.
