Strait Ranches’ Santa Gertrudis herd was established in 1951 by Y.C. Strait in Big Wells, Texas. Today, Strait Ranches is owned by the Y.N. Strait family of Streetman, Texas. Strait Ranches is still driven by the need to produce fertile, functional, efficient beef cattle. We are focused on continuous improvement and identification of superior genetics through DNA collection, performance testing, and phenotypic evaluation.
