The Richland R-IV School District is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Vocational Agriculture Teacher for the2026-2027 school year. This is a 12-month certified position that includes the role of FFA Advisor with associated extra-duty stipend.

Position Overview:
The successful candidate will lead the agricultural education program, including classroom instruction, hands-on learning in ag-related areas, and active involvement in FFA chapter leadership and activities. This position supports a comprehensive Vo-Ag curriculum and fosters student growth in leadership, career readiness, and technical skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Teach high school agricultural education courses (Animal Science, Plant Science, Ag Mechanics, Ag Business, etc.)
- Supervise and guide student SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) projects
- Serve as the FFA Advisor, coordinating chapter meetings, CDE/LDE participation, conferences, and leadership events
- Maintain and manage the agricultural education facility, shop, and greenhouse
- Collaborate with local industry partners and advisory committees to enhance student learning and opportunities
- Attend professional development and required trainings
- Participate in summer duties, including SAE visits, FFA camps/conferences, and fair supervision
Qualifications:
- Valid Missouri teaching certificate in Agricultural Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of agriculture content and FFA programs
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage program needs year-round
- Willingness to work beyond the school day and travel with students for FFA events (willing to obtain bus driver license)
Compensation:
- 12-month certified teacher contract
- Extra-duty stipend for FFA Advisor responsibilities
