AVSeeds is hiring an Accounting Manager to join our team in Denver, CO. This on-site role will oversee all accounting functions while supporting HR and office administration. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this individual will manage day-to-day financial operations, prepare board-level financial reporting, and provide insights to support business decisions.

We source and procure high quality agricultural, horticultural, forage, turfgrass, native, and wildflower seeds from growers across the United States. What you will be doing:
- Manage daily accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank deposits, inventory transactions, and general ledger functions
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and board reports
- Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing activities
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, forecasts, and working capital
- Support inventory accounting, costing, and internal controls
- Assist with HR administration, payroll compliance, and office management
This job is for you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required
- Experience independently managing accounting functions for a small or mid-sized business
- Strong knowledge of financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, budgeting, and forecasting
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, agriculture, food production, or similar industries
- Understanding of inventory controls, costing, bill of materials (BOMs), and gross margin analysis
- Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of payroll, HR processes, and regulatory compliance
- Experience in agriculture, seed, produce, or protein industries preferred
- CPA designation is a plus
Salary range
- $76,000 to $100,000
