Position Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for developing new and existing agricultural and commercial loan relationships, building sources of referrals, administering a portfolio of loans, determining the credit worthiness of borrowers, presenting loans to committee for decisioning, monitoring loan performance, cross-selling other banking products and services, and promoting the Bank's image in the community to meet or exceed loan quality, profitability, growth and service objectives.
This position is part of a progressive career path and may be filled at the non-officer, Officer, Assistant Vice President or Vice President level based on a candidate's experience, qualifications, and leadership capability.

Job Description
Position Summary:

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Determines the credit worthiness of borrowers by making sound analysis of their financial condition, ability to repay the loan and the net realizable value of the collateral in accordance with established policy and procedure to ensure a portfolio of loans that meet the Bank's quality standards.
- Administers a portfolio of loans by preparing loans that meet credit quality, profitability, growth and service requirements as determined by portfolio yield, loss ratio, delinquency rate and other measures to achieve profit and growth objectives.
- Analyzes prospective credit applications and financial statements to predict future repayment capacity and make sound loan decisions.
- Prepares written credit requests and presents to the loan committee.
- Monitors portfolio quality and address weakening credit with appropriate response to protect bank's assets, including collection of loans that default.
- Provides excellent customer service and attention to detail.
- Identifies opportunities to cross-sell ancillary products and services.
- Conducts outside sales and business development that targets client prospects and retention of existing clients.
- Promotes and market a broad range of bank products and services.
- Develops internal and external referral sources through centers of influence, participation in bank events and community activities.
- Develops relationships with line of business partners, branch managers and related staff to facilitate a team environment and successful delivery of products and services.
- Promotes the Bank's image in the community by participating in community activities, coordinating community development efforts, promoting involvement and participation in community service organizations to assist in compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act.
- Develops and maintains an adequate level of knowledge in agricultural and commercial banking, general banking, and business development.
- Demonstrates personal and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgment, communication and initiative with customers and employees to ensure an acceptable degree of performance that could generate new business.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, accounting, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
- Five or more years of banking experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on relationship building.
- Analytical, organizational, time management, and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated business development abilities and familiarity with the bank's markets.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Moody's Lending Cloud, and Fiserv preferred.
