AKRS Equipment is seeking experienced mechanics to join our 12-month Technician Apprentice Program (FastTrack). This company-paid development program is designed to help skilled mechanics become John Deere Certified Technicians through hands-on experience, classroom instruction, mentorship, and John Deere certifications.
This is not an entry-level apprenticeship. We're looking for mechanics with a solid mechanical foundation who are ready to develop specialized expertise in John Deere equipment.

What You'll Do:
- Work alongside experienced John Deere Certified Technicians
- Perform diagnostics testing and repair John Deere equipment
- Participate in monthly technical training
- Learn John Deere Service Center software
- Develop advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Complete John Deere certification courses
- Build the confidence and technical knowledge to become a Certified John Deere Technician
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of mechanical experience
- Experience repairing diesel, heavy equipment, agricultural, construction, truck, automotive, or similar equipment
- Working knowledge of:
- Diesel and gasoline engines
- Hydraulic systems
- Powertrain systems
- Electrical diagnostics
- Air conditioning systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent problem-solving skills
