POSITION: Ag Program Specialist
LOCATION: Devils Lake, North Dakota

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a full-time, 12-month exempt position. There may be an option for this to be an 11-month position as well.

JOB SUMMARY: Lake Region State College is seeking an energetic and organized Ag Program Specialist to support the continued growth and success of its Agriculture Programs. This full-time, 12-month position serves as a key connection between students, faculty, agricultural producers, industry partners, and the community. Responsibilities include student recruitment and advising, program promotion and marketing, event coordination, industry outreach, administrative support, and assistance with agricultural facilities, equipment, and field operations. The successful candidate will help create meaningful educational and career development opportunities while supporting hands-on learning experiences and strengthening industry partnerships.
Minimum Qualifications:
Salary: $51,900 - $65,000

- Associate degree required; agricultural background preferred.
- Two years of experience in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural education, student services, program coordination, or a related field.
- Strong communication, organizational, customer service, and project management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and database systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to obtain a UAV (drone) license if needed.
- Knowledge of agricultural practices, equipment, precision agriculture technologies, GPS/GIS systems, and data management tools.
- Experience with student recruitment, event planning, marketing, outreach, or workforce development initiatives.
